IES 2021 Eligibility Criteria
To appear in the Indian Engineering Services exam, candidates need to satisfy IES Eligibility Criteria first. Only eligible candidates are required to attend the Indian Engineering Services 2021 exam.
IES Nationality:
Applicants must be-
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
A person who has migrated to India from the refugee of Tibet, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the purpose of permanent settlement here.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have possessed Graduation Engineering Degree in a relevant field from a recognized University or Institute. Although, who have attained M.sc degree in Electronics, Wireless Communications, and Radio Physics degree are eligible for UPSC ESE 2019 vacancies.
IES Age Limit:
As per UPSC IES Notification, the minimum age of applying aspirants should be 21 years and the upper age of 30 years on 01-08-2021. The upper age of candidates should be relaxed as given below:

IES Examination Fees:
Before you apply for Engineering Services Examination you need to pay IES Application Fees first. Amount of Rs. 200/- is to be paid through online mode like Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, Pay-in-Slip, etc. from SBI, However for Female/SC/ST/PH candidates no fees are admissible.
IES Selection Process:
For UPSC Recruitment selection of applied candidates for the engineer, the vacancy will be done on the basis of Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and Personality Test.
Firstly candidates need to qualify in a written test that will be conducted in two rounds that prelims and mains and further selected candidates will be called for Personality Test or Interview.
The final selection of candidates for UPSC IES 2018 Recruitment will be done after Personality Test or Interview round.
